The UAG Watchband Series was created to complement smartwatches with rugged, adventure-ready design and premium materials. Inspired by classic military straps and outdoor gear, the lineup included styles crafted from high-strength nylon, eco-conscious RPET fabric, silicone, and leather. Features such as reinforced pass-throughs, dual-prong buckles, and stainless hardware delivered durability and security, while wide straps ensured all-day comfort.
As Senior Product Development Manager at Urban Armor Gear, Trax Designs’ founder partnered with industrial designers to take multiple watchband styles from concept to production. Our role included CAD development, DFMA optimization, vendor sourcing, and testing for durability and comfort. Special emphasis was placed on ensuring material integrity, sustainable sourcing (e.g., RPET nylon), and consistent fit across smartwatch models.
