GoPro Lens Hood – Design Concept & 3D Printed Prototype
Trax Designs explored a design concept for a GoPro lens hood to reduce lens flare and improve image quality in bright outdoor conditions. The challenge was to create a compact, lightweight accessory that fit securely to the GoPro housing without interfering with usability or portability.
Our team developed the concept through industrial design exploration and mechanical CAD modeling, refining the geometry to block unwanted light while maintaining a wide-angle field of view. Using rapid prototyping and 3D printing, we produced functional prototypes that could be tested in real-world conditions to validate effectiveness and durability.
